Upgrading to a new version of the script

1.Create a backup of the database and all the files on the server script.
2.Please update all the files in the folder /upload/yourarchive (excluding/ templates/)
3.Run http://website.com/upgrade/index.php, and follow instructions.
4.Delete the folder /upgrade/ and file install.php from your server.
5.As of control on the main page, select "cleaning cache"
6.Make the necessary changes in your patterns, changes in the list published on the website along with a link to the distribution.
Warning: After installing or updating the script on the server, make sure to remove the install.php file and folder /upgrade/, or else it would be possible to initiate a process of re-installation script, thus destroying the existing structure of the data.

problem solved [mod_rewrite rules ] was not working to enable this on some file hosts you need to add RewriteBase / <<<<<<<<<<< this line to htacces file in the puplic directory

If I do the update, will I lose all of my hacks?

Depends on the hack mybe yes mybe no but you will lose all of your modules. You have to reinstall it again

So if I replace the new "modules" folder with my old one, will that do the trick?

No you cant do that you have to reinstall everythings.

This is bad news but thanks! :-(

I have way too many hacks and modules installed to re-do them all manually...
